I've trolled around here for a while, but never had anything compelling to add. I have a 2007 Barcelona Red Sedan, 5spd. I bought it out of college because I needed cheap reliability and was impressed with the quality. Recently I have been looking for something sportier with more feature, but it's odd, nothing feels right, even a TSX feels 'big.' So I went and spent some money on my Yaris. A couple years ago I added the TRD short shifter (awesome) and the TRD muffler, which does nothing for performance but makes the car more fun to drive and there is absolutely nothing 'ricey' about it's sound.
I'm rambling. Anyhow, I went to Micro Image and got myself the following:
-Delrin Type R shift knob
-Shift cage bushings
-Shift linkage bushings
-In cabin short shift kit
-2" shifter extensino
-23mm sway bar
As you can probably tell, I am a stickler for shift quality. I really like the Yaris shifter, but effort increased with the engine bay ssk, so hopefully the extension will reduce overall effort and the in car ssk will keep things quick. My question for you all revolves around tire selection. I plan to do 15" alloy's this summer and the tires need to be replaced as it is. I REALLY want a long lasting high quality performance oriented all season and am willing to pay a reasonable amount for them. What would you all suggest, and to make things even easier what would you all consider to be an optimally sized 15" tire. Thanks in advance for your answers, I look forward to reading them!
