thanx for the info. Yea I'am scared of scratching the bottom of the Yaris, is it just mostly the speed bumps that you need to be careful on? and also are your windows tinted 35% or 20%? Did you tint the front as well?

new springs do "settle" or it could be the lighting, are you looking at the ground or the wheel gap?

I am looking at the wheel gap, mine is not as close as LAHAL's wheel gap,
I have some pic posted in the orange mica thread, I think the reason might be my 14" wheel vs the RS 15" even though the dealer do tell me that it needs time to settle.

Could be the angle it was photographed at too. From a distance, a slight change in camera height could make a big difference.

I am looking at the wheel gap, mine is not as close as LAHAL's wheel gap,
I have some pic posted in the orange mica thread, I think the reason might be my 14" wheel vs the RS 15" even though the dealer do tell me that it needs time to settle.

And also on the RS it comes with the side skirt, so that might make it look a little closer to the ground when compared to the LE model that doesn't come with the side skirt.

the side skirts to make the car looks lower then the regular model, and the larger rims also mean that the rims is closer to the gap, but i would say that they should be the same.

SHARP!!!!!!!! Cool wheels too! You need to get some better shots to really show off the car though (that basketball net really doesn't work for me). Try an uncluttered background, about an hour before sunset. You will be surprised at the difference it makes.

No worries bdiu, it's easy. An inexpensive camera can take some great pics. Time of day is the most critical element, along with an uncluttered background. Check out my beach pics from the "Orange" thread. Your ride has great colour and wheels though, no matter how you look at it.

yeah, nice ride, mine will be similar, but a 3dr & lower.

as far as taking pics, think about the outcome while looking at the scene & then in the viewfinder. also, think about the backdrop & objects in it. Industrial settings are good.

Keyless Entry, Keyless Start, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, Climate controled Automatic Air Con, Digital Dash. I think the rest is probably standard spec everywhere else.

The only thing is that there are no real parts available for the car! Only dealer fit options;

Turn by Turn Sat Navigation, Sports Pack (15" wheels, Chrome Tail Pipe, Boot Spoiler) then a saftey pack ( rub strips, mudflaps).

There is no real sports upgrade for the car at this time, no offer for lowering kit larger wheels than the 15" one I hsave. This could be because the car only just came out here and I had to wait over 1 month for delievery.

So, Im trying to find parts like you guys can get and I REALLY wana get one of the spoilers that you guys seem to have on the RS model!

the only thing that american yaris can beat it is the engine...
the rest is unbeatable... american yaris is the lowest trim for europe i guess...

Go to Ken Shaw Toyota/Lexus downtown TO. They usually have one or two. They're importing them right now through dealers in the states, so the price is a little high IMO, but check it out.

Only thing I don't like on the UK version is the integrated stereo. Makes aftermarket a bitch. Looks like it's only the upper section of the center stack that would need to be swapped.

Hi everyone, I just picked up my Yaris on July 8th.. the funny thing is I haven't seen anyone comment on the paint for the Black Sand Pearl, I thought the black was going to to black black but its not its like multi-color glitter black in the sun..its very very pretty.... are all the blacks with way or just this one?

Anyway I had 20% tint put on the car yesterday, it needs to be washed (but its raining here everyday).. enjoy.. rims coming soon (others didnt fit right).. mud thinging, ext. tip, bumper protector and new petals already on order form TRDSparks just waiting for them to arrive to add them to the car..:wub:

I ended up getting without the power packages went cov. package instead, I didnt want to wait the extra 4 mnths to get the power... so far I have put the little atenna on the top lol.. 20% tint all over... I have mudflaps, rear bumper protector, exhaust tip, and the sport petals on the way (should be here anyday :)... I have a shop thats going to add power door locks and the alarm for me next mnth... then the rear spoiler is after that.. I am currenlty looking for new tires/rims that I like .. I am going 17's I think... I have a few things after this I want to do but not much more lol ... I love the car tho well worth the wait lots of fun to drive.. but I am adding tach soon its hard to judge when to shift if you have the radio on:headbang:

As for Yaris and the front bumper of the foreign country there is no what change
Simply, you must note, because only 5 door hatch-backs of Vitz it does not exist in Japan, you think thing that you cannot install the side skirt in 3 door hatch-back,
Because in the same way, the rear bumper spoiler size differs, it is installing impossible

September 25th the new Yaris arrived ( after 6 wk wait ) Just in time for the leaves to turn color and head South for the winter.... Ahhhh well, still enough time to get the new wheels/rims on the ground before the snow flies.
Had the car 4 days when I decided to cut the muffler and exhaust pipe off and revamp it with some stainless.

Scratches will show up on any color but darker ones more so especially black. Black is one of the most if not the most pain in the arse color to keep clean and scratch free or at least that its not obvious, believe me I know.:thumbsup:

I swap Rearbrake from RS this time, because I am getting on 1.5X.
I think that it becomes a reference because the foot round of 1.5X is the same as Vitz & Yaris1.3
It is possible fix if the necessary parts are assembled

Here only the top of the line models have rear discs, I may upgrade mine at some point in the future. In most of the rest of the world it looks like rear drums only!

The power of black was even enough to get me to settle for an automatic transmission. The only manuals on the lot when I bought were white (blechhhh), red (meh), and that awful electric blue that looks awesome in all the shadowy pics of the ad campaign, but looks a bit 2 Fast 2 Furious in the harsh light of real life. The only color that could possibly have competed with Black Sand Pearl is the Meteorite one. It would be easier to keep looking nice, certianly, but a well-kept black still beats it every time.

I think I figured out my sticking point with every body kit I've seen for the Yaris so far: they take a very European design and make it look very Japanese. Both are viable design choices, of course, but I bought the Yaris in part because it reminded me (visually) of a cross between a Golf and a SMART, both overtly Euro designs. There is, imo, come soom for improvement with the Yaris' shape, but I've yet to see anyone (other than Toyota themselves) pull it off.

yes car is getting lowered, who had those used tanabe's for $100 if they are still up for sale I think I want them not it is warm and I can install them. and yes the muffler is going to die, I am more feeling carbonfiber tips center mounted, it more fits my theme, and relocating the muffler

Sorry to bust you, but usuallly a CAI, places the filter outside of the engine compartment (hence the cold air part)

what you've got (with the filter directly beside the engine) is actually a short-ram (or as I like to call it) "warm air" filter.

This be my yari. i've had it for a couple of weeks and I can say I'm pleased with it so far. The only mod's right now are black tint, black-painted hub caps, and flat black decepticon stickers on the hood and the tinted back window(Supah Doopah Decepticon Stuff!). Eventually, I will thug it out and put some black 17'' alloy's with a thin red stripe along with a body kit, that expensive spoiler from that guy in Singapore is selling on Ebay, and maybe a supah-chargah and a rag top or sun roof. It's all to the good like having morning wood:eyebulge:

Nope; however, there are a few after market places that do great install work.
