So, this is my first post, and I've already got ideas for many others, but I'm stumped on this one specific thing...

My '08 HB only came with a dealer cut replacement key, and no key-less entry fob, so I figured I'd just get an alarm system as well. Thing is, I want to do my own custom sound for the actual alarm itself. I was told by a couple of car audiophiles that there was an add-in module I could get that would work with other systems (i.e. Viper, Python, etc). I've scoured the internet for the last week trying to find said add-in, but the closest thing I've come to is discontinued (http://www.asianwolf.com/516l-dei-car-alarm.html). I also vaguely recall an episode of Pimp My Ride where Xzibit did a voice recording for a car alarm.

Also, does anyone have any experience with such add-ons?

Thanks in advance!

:edit: Lastly, can you do a custom sound for both the proximity sensor alarm AND the actual alarm?

That 516L is the correct part. We still stock it and a bunch of places online still have it. They also make a 516U but it only does pre-programmed messages.

Fantastic. Thanks for the reply. Shortly after I posted this, I found this: http://www.viper.com/ShopViperProducts/SearchByCategory.aspx?CategoryCode=106

Any input on the quality?
