Question about dashboard/headlights

My car has been having this issue where whenever I turn on the headlamps, the dashboard lights (ie: radio lights, gas gauge/clock/odometer, speedometer) go out, and when I turn off the headlamps, the dashboard lights are on.

I don't know whats going on, and I won't be able to drive at night because of this.

If it is like my 2007. Check the dimmer knob. If it is all the way up to the Click. That is what happens.

Adjust the dimmer knob its your problem

and if you cannot increase the brightness while the lights are on, then replace the dimmer switch

That dimmer control puzzled me when I'd accidentally turned it down with my knee while climbing in or out of the car.
