alright, ran into a slight problem fitting porsche wheels onto my girlfriends yaris.

so here goes: any body have any idea if it would be possible to swap a VW style hub (or even VW hubs for that matter) onto a yaris? i need this to happen somehow, im super determined.

why not do a spacer/adapter? if you re-drill the holes then the wheel will wobble. i had a friend in jersey put BMW 7 whels on his camaro...they were off just a bit so he widened 2 holes...he ended up snappin lugs.

if it doesnt fit right...something's wrong. and if it's wrong, then it wont work right...any way, do what you will. there's worse things on the road than someone trying to rig up some wheels.

I looked into lug conversions a long time ago. I had some 5x100 wheels off my tC I really wanted to try on the Yaris.

The only ones I could find that would be of safe and good quality were at least 1" thick, and that wouldn't work for me. So that's where I left my quest.

In all likelihood, you won't have room for adaptors. Filling existing holes is relatively easy and safe, and can be virtually invisible. Redrilling can be completed with absolute precision by the right shop. It wasn't long ago, that vendors routinely stocked blanks and only drilled wheels to meet specific application requirements.

well i do have a set of HR adapters sitting in my garage. the problem i'm running into is that where the existing studs come though i don't have/cant find a lug nut small enough to fit in the hole on the adapter. and the way that the 4x100 and 5x130 bolt pattern overlap there is hardly any room to open up the hole.

also kinda leaning against filling and re-drilling because of the way the wheels are drilled, i don't want them to look like shit.

with the amount of money it would cost to do a conversion, in the end it simply isnt worth it.

just use that money that you would spend going through all that headache and find some 4x100 wheels you like

we get crappy selection but there are some great wheels out there if you look

This is the best idea proposed in this thread. You should be able to pick up a used set for around $250 and bolt them on, no muss, no fuss.

i know its not the most economic option but there is a first time for everything. doing what it takes to hopefully get it done is something im willing to do. i have the wheels because i was going to put them on my scirocco, but decided they would look a lot better on my girlfriends yaris. along with a few other sweet mods coming soon :snky snky:

im calling someone at adaptec tomorrow to see if they can help. its pretty much a challenge at this point. i'm not a car snob by any means, but replica parts and putting porsche sticker/centers on a wheel that looks nothing like the phone dials is something i'm not down with. legit or nothing for me.

Good luck, I think they would look great on a Yaris. That said, the "phone dial" wheels are pressure cast. They aren't forged or machined from billet, either of which would be a better candidate for filling the of the old holes. Pressure cats aluminum does not take well to "filling". Filling and re-drilling is not a safe option on these wheels IMO.
