Can anyone tell me which way does the air filter in the cabin go? The arrow that says air flow pointing UP or DOWN? I have installed it pointing UP cause I felt air being sucked into the holder.

In my Echo it points down. Air is pulled from the top of the dash into the fan.

As per the owners manual - arrow points UP

Yeah, thanks guys, just found another post... Since its not an OEM and the ARROW IS FOR FLOW, it points DOWN.
In Toyota OEM filters, the arrow says UP, so it just goes UP!

Non-OEM airflow arrow is down-that's all I use. The first time I changed it I had to figure out if the air was being pulled or pushed through the filter by the the blower-used a kleenex tissue and the blower is pulling air down into it.

Air flow absolutly is from top to bottom.
The arrow is there just to indicate how to install the cover which is very confusing to some.
