195 or 205? and then what to go with? I'm leaning torwards getting 16" wheels for the year insted of having summer and winter wheels. I've been looking at Falken 452, Falken Ziex ZE-912, Kumho Ecsta AST, Hankook Ventus HRII H405, Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105, & Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec. I'm leaning torwards the Falken 452.

I am actually in a simliar boat as you however I am going 205 40 17 and have decided to go with the Falken ZE-912's myself. Sears here is having a buy 3 get one sale. They have great specs, are all season therefore should be quieter while providing solid road performance. From what I have heard they are quiet too, so we will see. I will be installing once my wheels arrive in about 7 days. If you are only running them for the summer then why not go 205?

I probably will go with a 205 and I work at a dealer or discounttire & tirerack have amazing prices and sometimes free shipping.

Are you dropped or do you plan to drop?

On stock suspension or a mild drop like TRD's, I would go with 205/50/16's... with the correct wheel offset, of course.

I plan on going with tigertek's and tk reds or blues & 16x7 +35 w/ 13mm hub spacers in the rear

I'd go Ecsta AST (better yet ASX). Great reviews, good all rounder, good reviews on here as well. That's what I will be doing, albeit 15's.

If you go with 205/50/16's, you may want to consider the Nitto NeoGen; outstanding handling characteristics and great for everyday driving in wet and dry conditions.

my neogens are pretty good up front on the MR2. i wouldn't recommend them for serious aggressive driving though.
