Gday all, we have just bought a secondhand Yaris 2006 (my daughter and I) it is really fantastic, but while we were detailing it we see that both headlights have moisture inside the covers.I am willing to have a shot at fixing this ,do the whole headlight assemblies need to come out and the covers removed if this is do able or can it be done by taking out sealing plugs or bulbs and gently warming the clear covers to drive out the moisture(several droplets in each plus some fogging).I did do acouple of searches but came up with little..Cheers

You can remove the moisture cap on the headlamps and park your car in the sun for a while, this will allow the headlamps to air dry the moisture out. After that, you can shove a couple packs of silica gel in each lamp to help with condensation in the future.

Thanks for the reply, I'll give that a shot.I thought something along those lines might work before pulling the headlights.....Cheers
