I'm wondering how you go about figuring the proper size of rim, offset and tire to buy if their is no "try it before you buy it" type of thing? I'd like to stay 15" rim, would a 15x6.5 work for a 185/60/15 tire and maybe a 195 or 205/55/15 tire? If so, what offset rim as well?

For a clean fitment with stock suspension:
15x6.5-15x7.0, ET40-45, 205mm tyres
15x6.5-15x7.0, ET35-45, 195mm tyres
15x6.5-15x7.0, ET30-45, 185mm tyres

I'm running 205mm on my stock S rims (5-spoke) and they are perfect for me. And they look great and grip amazingly

How would this change for a mild drop (such as TRD springs) using the wheel size you reference?

This will work fine with TRD's.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm running TK blues and Tein S springs. What would be the best size 15" rim w/offset and tire to run with it? I just for sure don't want any rub at all.

bump...again -sigh-
they should work fine. what you really want to do is figure out the outside diameter of the wheel and tire.
how much is the current drop?
if you want no chance of rubbing just stay stock. but that is kinda boring.

I wouldn't have any rub issues with that size up above, even with my Tein stech springs and TK blues?
No, you won't rub at all.
I'm on DF210's (and lowered .5" more in the front with spring compressors) and have been playing with offsets. My fronts don't rub AT ALL, with a +33 offset. My rear's didn't rub until I went from a +31 to a +26 offset, now I have very minor rubbing over harsh bumps in the rear. +31 didn't rub.
This is all with 15x7's, 195/55/15 tires.
(Although the +26 offset doesn't rub with a 195/50/15 due to tire height.)

I'm sorry to bump here, but this is a question for ryank: how do you lower the front of your car by 0.5" with spring compressors? aren't spring compressors a tool to remove the spring?
If there is such of thing, could you provide me with more details?
Please forgive my lack of knowledge but I really would like my front to come down 1/2 inch, I'm running NF210s
Thank you
Derick
They sell leave on spring compressors at auto parts stores. I got mine at advanced. Only 10 bucks a set.
Derick - here is a picture of them. You use a spring compressor to tighten the spring and then throw one of these on each side of the coils.

I found it! I copy the image URL and then did a quick search! it's called:
Universal Coil Spring Control Ki (Universal Coil Spring Control Kit)t
LINK (http://www.midwayautosupply.com/pc-13130-397-mr-gasket-universal-coil-spring-control-kit-1280.aspx)
Did you find any problems with this? any noises or concerns? how does affects your
suspension? do you recommend it?
Thanks
They're fine for what they cost. They make your ride a little bouncier, as expected when you are adding pressure to the springs. Other than that, they work very well. No noises or concerns, I'd recommend them. (They would suck for racing though, too much bounce.)
The Tanabe springs sit very high in the front compared to the rear, and this is an easy fix.

hi there, im running 205/40/zr17, and having no problems, but if u going to load people in the back of your car then just roll the rear fenders as the standard springs make the rear fender catch the tires,
