Does anyone know where I can get the old rubber honeycomb pattern rear bumper protector? They show them on ebay but then when you order they send you the new style with the yaris logo on it that is plastic. I Bought one of the ones that wraps over the edge of the bumper a few ears back but that faded to grey inside of six months and I'm tired of re-painting it.

Just insist that you want the honey comb style bumper protector from the dealer and they'll give it to you.
They tried giving me the new stuff too and I said no gtfo.

I know the xB1 used a bumper protector with the holes in it. Maybe you could locate one of those and do some trimming to make it fit.

I live in Canada, and cannot get the honeycomb bumper protector. So, I ordered it off eBay from Conicelli Toyota and CAN confirm it is honeycomb pattern. They are very responsive to any questions you may have.
They still run the same auction for the part number of the item I received. The part number is PT278-52061 If you look up the part number, you will find everywhere that it is honeycomb when they show the picture.
The best part about this item is that it is UV resistent, adheres well, and looks the best out of all the bumper protectors. The other types tend to fade and get brittle. I have had mine on for 2 years, went through extreme heat and cold, without any problems or deterioration.

Well I called Conicelli and all they can get is the new style with the yaris logo, so anyone else have a clue of where I can get the old style ? Short of calling every dealer in a 3 state radius I don't know another way.

Marty I think you ordered the one for the sedan but you have a liftback right ? No problems with fitment ? I have a feeling you can still get the sedan model in the honeycomb pattern even though they changed the liftback one.

That was the first place I tried, ordered one with that same picture and got sent the "new" style one. Apparently they all use the same photo even though it's not accurate.

Try a junkyard or two.

No, I ordered for the Liftback and it fits perfect. I did not order for the sedan. Sorry about the link.
This is what I meant to post instead.

The picture clearly shows honeycomb for the Conincelli eBay auction. Walter is the guy I e-mailed.

Another good place is http://www.yarispartsstore.com
Here is a link to the honeycombed bumper protector for liftback. It even has an extreme closeup of the product, so I am sure this is what you will get. I looked under the 2008 section.
