I just picked up about 3lbs of powder for my wheels and valve covers. purple starlight is nice, but needs to be done over a chrome base.

I'm really feeling the purple too, thinking about getting some Rota D2's and Color matching the center of the wheels to the Valve cover

What color is the car?
IMO, the valve cover color (and any other major color accents) should be coordinated with and compliment the car's color, it should not "clash" with it.
After all, it is all about pleasing the eyes with the hood open and the car's color in view.

any accent color going on yet?
raspberry pink or purple go best with your car, but you'll have to pull the color in other places for the whole car to work.

IMO all of those colors are obnoxious and don't really go well with grey as a foundation. Grey isn't actually a color, so the best matchups with it are white and black of course. Other "values", so to speak.
/art school
I'd go lime green if I HAD TO. My opinion paints the valve cover chrome, and the future wheels a white or gunmetal grey.
As it is your car, enjoy whatever you do to it though. :drinking:

I'm considering doing polished wheels & polished valve cover and then painting the other valve cover I have and deciding on the matching wheels

ok ok...so apparently in the last few days i've said a few things to make myself look like an idiot...
so again i'll explain my thinking of this thread lol...i thought he was talkin bout the plastic VVTi cover, not the actual valve cover...
blue is always a good color, so is high gloss black.

I guess it really comes down to individual taste, but I really need to weed out the bad colors and the best colors. The polished look always looks good, so that's not an option. So far Raspberry, Purple, Blue, and Gold seem to be the best colors.
