Italian Ford
All DeTomaso cars imported to the US came with a Ford engine such as:
The Valleunga, Mangusta, Pantera, Longchamp & Deauville, all Ford powered.
I've owned this for 22 years and it's a BLAST to drive. But I have been given it
some thought about selling it.

Trade for a nice clean 1998 Mercury Villager with only about 110,000 miles on it?

Yes, I ran with POCA (Pantera Owners Club of America) for MANY, MANY years.
And yes again. The Pantera group has great people in it.

Man, they just don't build them like that any more, much is the pity.
Even the new GT40 is way fat compared to the original. I love simple cars that only perform, not coddle mediocre drivers.
Nice machine, Marty.........

I agree. This is very simple indeed. Speedo, Tach, Gas, Water Temp, Amps, Oil Press, Engine & Trans, Brakes Wheels & Tires, OH! and STYLE. The Pantera never even came with a radio (Mercury Dealer installed) also it never came with side mirrors. Another dealer installed item. The mirrors on the car I installed ( 1979-1980 Dodge Colt)
It is COMPLETELY a different type of ride from my Yaris as you can see. I guess what I'm saying is not only POWER but when you drive it your head (eye level) is only about 35'' from the ground. Talk about always having to look up to everyone around you. Going through a fastfood drive through is a TASK.
Thank you for your comments:burnrubber:

Hahaa! With that symphony right behind you, who the hell needs a RADIO!?? The mirrors, well, okay for town traffic, but otherwise they would just be obstructions...
Drive-through? I guess, but it is more fun to park it, and watch the peasants ogle it while you feed.
