Hi,
I am not sure what to call this but I was wondering if anyone know how if this a relatively easy repair, not sure if its a simple part replacement or a whole new seat.... it appears you can get into the seat from the backside, I went to pull it and it just broke... I see nothing of this mentioned in the repair manual.

Mine has a slider on each rear seat inside the trunk.
It can be locked so the button you broke can't put the seat down.
I guess so no one inside the car could access the trunk if you had it locked with the opener next to the driver seat bypassed.

try these:
lock, seat back (R) 72630-52130 - $28.29
(L) 72640-52120 - $46.90
Bezel, lock (R/L) 72679-20030-B1 - $10.52
Prices are from the Toyota parts list and are probably cheaper from Sparks.

I don't necessarily want to lock the seat, I use the access on trips to grab stuff out of the trunk that i pack so its accessible from inside. :-) But I can say I have only used this latch button you pull probably a dozen times, I was shocked when it broke off but from the parts listed below it looks like a simple fix. I could not see picture of these parts but I will take them to the dealer and run it by them, I may open up the seat and inspect the whole assembly prior. All I really need is the whole stem and knob you grab, Im not sure if that extends several inches down the seat to where the latch is...

Okay I ordered the button, I fixed it in less then 2 minutes in the parking lot, two screws under the plastic guide that your seat belt runs through, and lefts off, and then the post with the broken part left inside, screws right off, and the new button screws on (making sure you put it through the plastic thing, and then screw the 2 screws back down. Amazing simple repair. Ron
