A storm that passed through our neighborhood yesterday. The Yaris was safe in the garage. I'll need a new roof.

Saw that on the news last night. I just missed the "big one" in Oklahoma City two weeks ago when we moved my daughter home from college at OU. 90 minutes later out of Norman and we would have been in the middle of it. They had golf ball to softball sized hail and 80mph winds.

Holy moly!! Definitely a good thing you had your ride in a garage. We had a hail storm a couple days ago here...but they were bb sized, and I was telling my wife I was so glad I didn't have the Yaris outside. I see your fotos and think I'm glad I don't live in Colorado anymore...;)

Wow... The biggest hail we get here is pea size. What do you do if you get caught outside, on foot, in a storm like that? Do you get some warning, does it start out as smaller stuff?

You get to know clouds. It started to rain first. My wife just came home in time with the truck. I told her since she got it wet she had to wash it. 3 minutes later all hell broke loose. If you are on foot, take shelter where ever possible. Those could split your head open. The toronado sriens started 10 minutes after the first wave hit. Stopped 30 minutes after the sun came out.
