I'm thinking about diving into this project over the weekend.

I'm just looking for some tips from those who have done this mod...

Here's a list of some Qs I have...

Oven temp / time - 250 ish for about 4 min?
What grit of sandpaper to scuff sand the chrome to be painted?
Do I need high temp paint? ( I have HIDs )
what should I use to re-seal?
Once the sealant is applied, do I need to stick them back in the oven for a short time to let the adhesive fill any small holes I may have missed?

Any answers to those Qs or any tips / pointers would be GREATLY appreciated.

Oven temp / time - 250 ish for about 4 min?
Try 200-210 for 7-10 min. Wrap a cookie sheet in foil and put the headlight on top. Make sure the light is as close to the middle of the oven as possible. Check every couple of mins. Removing all the old sealant is a good idea too.

What grit of sandpaper to scuff sand the chrome to be painted?
I used 600 grit

Do I need high temp paint? ( I have HIDs )
No. I always use SEM brand paint. Use an adhesion promotor before primer. It makes the paint stick better.

what should I use to re-seal?
The best thing to use is the OEM Nissan sealant. Seals better than almost anything else.

No, but it softens the sealant making it easier to get the lens nice and flush. Make sure to either clamp or wrap some masking tape around the headlight to hold it in place until the sealant cures.

Yes, I can get the part # when I get home. Its about $15 and is enough to do about 4 headlights.

i opened mine with a hair dryer lol BBQ paint no clear.. putting them back together with out niking the pain was a bit of a pain
