Where is it? I'm talking about the RPM sensor that send the speed data to the ECU...Or even better, does any one have a map of all of the sensor locations on a 1nz? thanks,

It's under the backside of the pulley. Look for a big black connector with tape on it.

Thanks Cdy...here is the info for the next guy:
"The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor system consists of a CKP sensor plate and a pickup coil. The sensor plate has 34 teeth and is installed on the crankshaft. The pickup coil is made of wound copper wire, an iron core and magnet. The sensor plate rotates and, as each tooth passes through the pickup coil, a pulse signal is created. The pickup coil generates 34 signals per engine revolution. Based on these signals, the ECM calculates the crankshaft position and engine RPM. Using these calculations, the fuel injection time and ignition timing are controlled."

Does this sensor relates to the Crank Trigger?
Does the crank trigger is 34 on our 1NZFE?

I think you mean:
A) Is this the sensor same as a crank trigger? (yes)
B) Is the signal 34 pulses per revolution? (yes)

I don't know maybe the image is illusrated wrong since mine the crank sensor is at the lower left of the engine and not in the middle as shows the image.
See below attachment
Can you confirm is the same sensor?

You're view the image in the wrong contexts. The view shows the sensor by looking through the motor and is indeed in the lower left corner of the block.

Sry I'm just getting to this...Bluevitz is correct. You need to be thinking in terms of X-ray vision.

No need for the PMs...
It's a purple wire, but I don't have my EWD on hand to tell you what connector... I'll see If I can find it.
Edit: ok found it. I have a '04 manual, so as long as you have a 4 connector ECU it should be the same. It's a purple wire with white tracer, pin 17, connector B.

but the arrangement of the wires on my ECU is completely different as mine is a turbo. its the same 1nz-fe engine but with factory fitted turbo. the code of my ecu is 1nz-fet. its does have 4 connector and does have a purple wire with white tracer but not in connector b and pin 17 as stated. shall ill try to connect it to the wire though?
btw thx for ure help. much appreciated.

On my EWD, it's the only purple with white tracer on the ECU, so if that's the only one on yours, then it would be safe to assume it's the same.
