Some idiot hit my car and never left a note. I went to my car after getting off work and there is a big hole in the bumper my vios grill is cracked and looks like the bumper support is off cause the bumper isnt aligned right.
Its going to need atleast a new bumper and grill. My deductable is 500 though. Ill try to take a picture tomorrow when theres light. Im wondering if i should report it or just try to fix it myself. Just grab a bumper off ebay thats used and have it repainted.
On a plus side I can have my S side skirt painted at same time and installed.

I hate that sh*t! Go to a body shop first for an estimate, then decide what to do from there. The worst I had done was someone threw fireworks inside my car and caused $8,500 in damage, and all I had to pay was my $500 deductible. Because it wasn't my fault my rates didn't go up. Also I'm prone to taking pics of where I'm parked and who's next to me with my phone, just in case one of those assholes slams a door or fender into my car. Helps for proof.

Sorry to hear that. But look at the upside: he (or she) was noble enough to leave a note. So unless the info on it is wrong, you're not left to deal with this alone. And that's a nice sedan you have, so I hope it gets taken care of.

not trying to be rude, but he specifically said that no note was left...
on the other note, i hope that your car gets fixed properly... i have seen that some body shops try to use aftermarket bumpers, and those sometimes do not fit properly... just a note trying to help...
also, in the future, another thing to look into would be to have a lower deductible on the comprehensive... a little bit more up front, but in the nitty gritty of a claim, it makes costs associated with a claim decidedly lower...
just a note about the cost offset, when i lowered both of my deductibles from 500 to 100 for collision and 0 for comp, the increase in cost was only about 5 dollars a month... then when someone broke into my car, i paid zero dollars to get my car fixed... just a thought that mentioning this would help some people in the future, and if my ramble helps ONE person, then it is worth it to me...

My mistake. I was half asleep when I first read this thread.
I guess that makes the perp a coward then. He'll get his...

Sorry to hear that, Jason. Man that really blows.:thumbdown::thumbdown:
I would compare the cost of getting it done (get an estimate) minus the deductible v. doing it yourself.

On the plus side i think im gona go for the 2010 bumper with the xrs front lip and have it installed since im replacing the bumper anyways. I already have the rest of the lip kit i got from brian so can have it all painted at same time. Waiting to see how much insurance is going to say the damage is and just pay the deductable and pay the difference for the difference in cost which shouldnt be that much possibly even cheaper.
Anyone know if the 2010 bumper is a direct fit? Also if the vios grill is the same size and will fit in the 2010 opening. I think only thing i will need is just new foglight covers.

Yes, it proves they parked next to you, and that's it. How do you know the person you have PROOF of them damaging your car didn't take off right after you left, and then someone else parked in the spot, dinged your door on getting out, and just took off. Video in the car on the other hand....
Get a fiberglass patch kit and a can of bondo for 30 bucks.. I'm serious. I think I've seen you do some detailing to, so you could even get a can of touch up and fix the whole thing for under 50 bucks. Do it off-body, what's the worst that could happen. If it doesn't look right your only out 30 bucks for the bondo and fiber, and you can still get ebay pieces.
