A Feeler Question

So I bought these cheap HID 3K on ebay. They were great for the price but the when you look at them head on they are white instead of yellow. But they produce yellow light. So I just put on some yellow tint over the fogs. And now they are super neon yellow.

Just wanted to know if anyone has done that? Got 3K HID then put yellow tint on.
