UPDATE on PG spacer.. frame being crooked?

for future fitting for new user..try to have the left rear 4mm more than the right to make it even vs right rear wheel spacing only for hatchbacks.. i cannot confirm sedans...

AS we all know our yaris hatchback had issues with left rear being tucked in more than the right so i did the unexpected and ordered 2 offset spacers fr garm.. 1x 13mm (which goes on the left and 1x10mm for the right.. guest what..almost had it to match..i figures the left is about 4mm-5mm off but the extra 3mm did come close.. also confirmed that its the frame thats crooked not the body. the way i did this was to lined up the front tires/rims to the back noticeably off from the front also comparative to the right side..

now the 2nd issue with 13mm on the left and 10mm on the right is i still rub on both sides during dips..hitting a small lip connecting the metal frame to the plastic rear bumper..good thing is its almost even hit might be off by 2 mm so now dont know what to do. by the way im running 205/50/16 +40 offset on a trd spring

1. spend $70 to roll UP LESS THAN 2 inch LENGTH lip issue
2. roll it my self using bat or something or just use pliers and fold it up..
3. grind it

Add camber. I just finished doing mine 20 minutes ago.

i did have that shim..it came with it just didnt end up putting it..i kinna want it straight rather than tilted....still contemplating..plus you may have different tire setup and frame on the sedan maybe ok..but i know hatch has crooked frame issue off the warehouse

Tilt is barely noticeable.

hmmm now i dont know if i should open this up again... but now sure if that 1 degree will make a difference..

by the way did you notice the left rear was pushed in more than the right..check it out.

Yes, that is why I added camber. To deal with the rub on the right side. And I don't have a sedan.

If you are still rubbing after installing the shims, it will atleast be less severe. That way, any further measures you take to eliminate rub will be less drastic.

cool... let me try to grind that small piece.. if still rubbing then i have no choice but to add that shim..

grind away and then add shim....lip is too small and part of it is plastic...usually rubs where the bumper and fender meet. Little bit of camber won't hurt and can improve performance.

If those 2 don't work, get shocks if you only have TRD springs.

ok i grinded a 2 inch length and about 3 mm under neath where the metal and the plastic bumper meets..so far so good.. did a metal seal then painted... surprise it came out clean..but so far no rubs yet on dips..but we will see what happen if i put 2 person on the back..
