Im planning a 10 day trip to the East side in July.

Currently planning to check out Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City.
I have a good buddy who lives in Toronto so I guess I am okay with that area, but I need suggestions for other cities. Maybe some of you can help and point out where are the must-visit places that I should NOT miss?

Thanks :)

if you're in town during one of the toyota nation meets (last saturday of the month or second wednesday) it'd be cool if you could make it out

I was quite impressed by Casa Loma (in central Toronto).

I can't imagine that you're driving in from Vanc. on 10 day round trip but if you are passing through Sudbury Ontario the Big Nickel / mine tour would be worthshile stop as you'd be passing it if you're on the Trans-Canada Hwy.

Montreal is all about the night life. Lots to do in july. There the just for laughs, the jazz fest with lots of free concerts. If your driving once your get onto the island, there speed camera and no turning right on red, also no talking on the cell, there usual on off ramp or using video camera & radar on over pass to get people.

Also july is destruction season in montreal. So lots of road work. If going down town park around atwater, lionel groulx metro, free parking there in the restidental section, just watch out for local parking spot for people who life there. since it isn't always clearly marked on the signs. You can walk to downtown from there or take the metro with a visiter pass.

here a link of events http://www.montreal.com/tourism/festivals/index.html

For stuff to see, there the old port, lots of cafe, pubs there. Bars close at 3am or 3:30 depending on how full the place is. There the free fireworks show by SAQ at the old port. There mont royal good look out spot. notre dame church, the under ground passage. The biodome (nature stuff). When your in the downtown core they speak english its when start to life the core it get less and less. Unless your in the west island. You'll find your good and helpful people and shit head people any where you go. But don't let it bother you if you get them.

For night life, check out crescent street from sherbrook & st catherine . st.laurent between sherbooke and pins & st.catherine. this website well give you an idea of where to go.
