No sound!?

So i hooked up my amp today.. everything went well tapped into the correct acc pin as stated in the sticky turned the car on amp on stereo on life is good.. I turned up the stereo loud to see how it sounded and then the radio just shut off. Seemed to like overload or something. I checked the fuses and they are fine radio comes on all accessories work but no sound at all... any ideas?

Check the fuse for your amp.

Fuse is fine.. think it is possible that the output from the factory headunit is fried? I'd hope not since that is what they make fuses for.

make sure your wire which you used to tap into the acc wire is cleanly connected, look for stray conductors (single strand wires) that may have frayed off and be touching something they aren't supposed to.

I've done exactly what you've done and have no problems.... so unless there is a bad/weird connection somewhere i'm not sure whats up.
