I am not very experienced with stereo installs but I am thinking about getting this unit.

The sony website says it will not fit in my sedan. Does anyone know of a harness kit for this unit so I wouldnt have to cut up my harness? What are my options?
Thanks

You need a single din dash kit and a wiring harness.

Is the wiring harness just plug and play? Or would I have to strip wires?

the deck will only come with bare wires, crutchfield should provide you with a kit, there are parts numbers strewn about this site, just do a search. A toyota best-kits wire harness will fit pretty much any toyota. Its very quick and easy - if you dont like to solder just crimp the harness to the deck.
This is assuming you dont have the integrated dash.

dont have to search to hard, it is in the link posted above ;)
and connecting the harness to the deck isnt to hard, just match the wires up and crimp them, then it will plug right into the car side :)
man, sony HU's suck! i have one and to begin with it only read cdrw discs and originals, also once i installed my amplifier one of the rca outs was not working, radio reception is poor and it had overheating issues, which i fixed by puting some thermal grease between the IC's and the rear heatsink and now, it shuts down randomly and it is not the cabling...
