Once the cop pulls you over for no license plate flip the switch and then go what missing front license plate.

Yea, that would have the police scratching their heads and heading for the nearest coffee and donut shop.

That's freakin awesome. Then you could even ask the cop, if THEY'VE been drinking...lol

right. get caught with that mechanism and they can impound your vehicle on the spot.

Yeah, exactly.

Not to mention the fact that when the plate comes up, it's crooked as hell and looks like it got slapped on there with some 2 sided tape by a cross-eyed hobo.

I can see uses for these contraptions during photo shoots, meets and shows, but would always drive with it extended. Wired into the ignition perhaps...

(At least in Ohio) police cruisers have cameras running all of the time. Good luck.

I know folks in the Jeep community that zip-tie their front tag on, but not to elude the police; it's to save the plate from getting chewed up by rocks when wheeling. I've also seen heavy magnets used to hold the plate on while on the road, but which can be removed when offroading.

I bent the crap out of my front take the first time I went wheeling, and now have it in a frame which holds up better but will probably break off completely one of these days.

But I agree with the above posts, cops aren't idiots and the first thing they would look for is some kind of mechanical device which, when found, will land your ass in a lot hotter water than the simple "fix it" ticket you get for not having a front plate here!

The easiest way to avoid the ticket is to just put the damn thing on and leave it there!

Cheers! M2

I'd've bunged that thing up by now. My plastic air dam's scraped several times on unexpectedly steep approaches to side streets and driveways.

One benefit to living in Michigan - REAR PLATE ONLY

It is true that cars look better without the front plate.

 hahahaha!!! Pretty funny!

(not that I would recommend doing it though )

+1 I agree, cars do look better without the front plate.

That is really cool. I hate the front plate. I love the look of the Yaris without the plate. I have an 09 "S" liftback and the plate really ruins the look of the front airdamn. I hate the government telling us what to do all the time. What's next plates on the door panels. I mean really the front plate, when was the last time you saw a police pursuit with the suspect driving backwards. If I could, I would gladly pay an extra fee at the Registry to have only a rear plate. Talk about a shame how do you think the owner of a classic corvette or someone with a Ferrari feels about putting that plate on the front. I will take my chances without the plate.
