Yeah a couple of years ago on 4th of July, a lady actually died just a few blocks from where I lived, due to fireworks. I guess she lit one, thought it was a dud, got too close to it, and it went off. So you gotta be careful with those explosives...

Wow, that must of been some block buster. I rather enjoy the show of professionals who know what the are doing, fire works are not like the old days, in fact here in PR they are illegal, but it depends on what you are using. Those things are dangerous, just enjoy, I m at the beach doing a BBQ with all that you can imagine, from steak, burgers, hot dogs, etc. Wohoooooo, 4th of July baby, holla.

+1. Just landed a speeding ticket today rushing to the hospital after finding-out a best friend of mine stood too close to a "fountain" after lighting it on his street. Leg's got 1st and 2nd degree burns, but he'll be fine (and now he's wide-open for BBQ jokes in the coming days)

This country is fun...

Right outside my window is a shirtless man with a child. They have what looks like a shoebox. The man is pouring lighter fluid into the box, and lighting it. Lots of loud pops. More lighter fluid. The child runs away. Man lights up box again. More popping sounds.
