Hi i just got my yaris diesel, and what can i say, i love it, it is optioned with the MMT transmission and it is a lots of fun to drive. It doesn´t pull very hard untill second gear, then it really shoots of. I put it up to 90mph and it was still pullin hard in forth.....:thumbup:

Any way the Yaris Diesel is (according to Toyota) consuming 4 L/100Km highway. 4,5 L/100Km mixed and 5 L/100Km urban.
My experience is 4,5-4,9L/100km highway driving doing 100 Km/ph, Urban is around 5,5-6,2 L/100km.

Nota bene, these figures are based on normal driving styles with very minimal economy driving efforts. Usualy the dash board indicates based on the last 100 km driven a figure of around 5,8 - 6 liter consumption.

I have contacted Toyota Canada by e-mail and they confirmed to me that they have no plan to bring the D4D to Canada :(

Thats to bad. The Diesel motor is more powerfull than the 1,3 VVTi which is the largest petrol engine we get here in Iceland for the Yaris. Also what amazed me about the diesel apart from its great powerband is how quiet it is. Its acctualy 6db quieter than the 1,3VVTi
This little car is great to drive and the torque is amazing for a 1,4 L (190NM).

My black Yaris D4D has the TTE rear spoiler, the fog lamps in the front skirt, 15" Orana alloy wheels. Crome garnish on the rear lid. Tinted windows. chrome exhaust tip . I will post pics very soon.

Me and Johnny are the founders of the official Yaris club og Iceland, currently has around 100 members. The club is expanding greatly because the yaris is getting more popular by the minute.
