Well the sound wont sound like a stock muffler, but if want that prowl like sound some headers and a air filter, and you are good to go, you should know that, Subaru guy, but it would sound nice, holla my dude.

Check out youtube for some videos of the TRD exhaust. There's a bunch of them.

It will give a mild note which will be a good compromise for your average girl.

Also, expect it to give 0HP.

the yaris is a wee bit more complicated in terms of gaining power out of it than a Sub's boxer engine ;)

The Yaris ECU is awful and the car runs rich like there's no tomorrow.

This plus the fact that it's a 100 HP engine (if you're lucky, some dyno at 95-97) plus the fact that the stock exhaust piping after the resonator is ridiculously small means yeah, expect 0 HP from it.

You could argue 1 or 2 from it but what's the point? It's probably one of the worst HP to $ mods you can get on the Yaris. Would I recommend it? Every time. It looks and sounds great.

I say 0 HP because in the end any gain would be minimal and everyone should buy an axleback kit for the Yaris purely for looks / sound.

I agree in regards to appearance and sound, I never expect much power from axle back upgrades.Would you recomend an intake for the 1.5,or is the TRD air filter good enough?if so,what type?

Actually, it dynos 2+hp. Not really much at all for what it costs, but sounds nice. Did you get the USDM or JDM TRD muffler? I had the JDM and was forced to sell it because of financial difficulty.

As for intakes I went with AEM as they make the TRD intake for toyota. Mine didn't have the bypass valve but I've only had 1 issue with water, and that was in portland once on the freeway behind a truck with no mudflaps and torrential downpour.

I ordered it from the dealership,so im guessing usdm.So you run a cold air? i heard short ram has better throttle response
.

I did my research before buying and figured a CAI would be more of a benefit for me. As for improved throttle response the NST lite crank pulley fixed any issues there . And I had no issues using the 1ZZ throttle body with my AEM. And yes you'll be getting the USDM. Before the USDM came out dealers were selling the JDM, but it didn't have the best fitment with the sedan.

ive always liked the cold air intakes, just makes more sense to get the dense air charge. How much gain did you get from the pulley and TB?

I've only got a butt dyno so far, but VERY noticeable, especially in the mid to high range. I've got a automatic, and the pulley also helped gear hunting up hills.

Oh on my old front bumper I modified the left foglight cover to allow airflow and accoring to my scangauge it reduced the intake temp my 10 degrees Fahrenheit. My new RS bumper I just left the fogs out and put mesh in front and temps are good.

bolt-ons netted me +17 whp, which is a lot if you're starting at 91.

intake, pulleys, header, exhaust

The AFE intake is a lot more user-friendly in terms of service. CAI's on the Yaris require removing a wheel and fender liner to service the filter. But they are cool too.

Thanks for your help guys.I pick up the exhaust this week, ill post pictures and a full review of the product. If anyone who reads this thread has or had a sedan trd exhaust, please post your reviews.

UPDATE:I got the exhaust on monday, but i had to prep and paint it before instalation.I painted it with 500 degree flat black due to the hight number of vehicle thefts and vandalisms here in socal.the install is easy, just remember to lube the hangers and torque the bolts to 32ftlbs.I'll post pictures when i get off work...
