Well i was going to order the amp from woofersetc.com for 179 but with shipping it actually was more expensive than crutchfield. So decided to go with crutchfield. But happy i did now. I got the Alpine MRP-F300 so i am amble to power my front components and bridge the rear channel to power my 6x9 subs.

But right now they just happen to be having a deal if you buy the alpine amp you get free Alpine SPG-17C2 Type-G 6-3/4" 2-way car speakers normally 100 dollars.

So for 200 bucks shipped for everything its a outstanding deal.

That amp can be had for $130, so you did buy those speakers for $70. For that $70 you could have bought some type R alpines.

Crutchfield, while excellent with customer service and stuff like that, is WAY overpriced.

I am looking to buy that same amp for the speaker level inputs as I am leaving my factory HU in. Going to power (4) SPR-17c's.

Then I will get a mono amp down the line to power a sub:)

And could you clarify the 6x9 sub statement? Last I checked 6x9 speakers aren't subs. I am consfused. If you have 2 6x9's in the rear then you will want a more powerful amp than the one you bought.

Well i can set the front 2 channels to 50rms and the rear to 150rms.

Subs i have are tang bang 6x9 here are the specs Specifications: *Power Handling: 90 watts RMS/170 watts max *VCdia: 1-1/2" *Impedance: 8 ohms *Re: 6.5 ohms *Frequency range: 35-350 Hz *Fs: 35 Hz *SPL: 87 dB 2.83V/1m *Vas: 1.34 cu.ft. *Qms: 6.05 *Qes: 0.37 *Qts: 0.35 *Xmax 7 mm *Dimensions: A: 6-1/2" x 9-1/4", C: 4-3/16".

Where can you buy that amp for 130 shipped?

At least YS got a real warranty on it. Not some back alley BS warranty.

What is the CEA rating on that Alpine amplifier?

This is pretty much the cardinal rule..to get something you have to give something. In this case he gives a little more money and gets manufacturer support. This is contrasted to a lot of the online business where you pay less and get a business level "warranty".

The down side to all this is that you still have to pay shipping back to the place if it takes a crap on you.

I think you made a good deal, I m looking for a 2000 watt amp to bump two 15 that are MTX comp 2 channel of course, but that will be later. And alpine is a good brand.

If I had the $$ I'd love to get some goodies from crutchfield. I'm OEM for now. :frown:
