View Full Version : Does the 4dr hatchback come in manual?

I read an article that the "new" 2010 models will have a manual tranny option for the 4dr hatchback but I cannot configure one online, what gives??? Are ALL pre-2010 4dr hatchbacks automatic?!

Just 2009, US only. There was no 4 door hatch available in the US prior to 2009. All other countries that got the 4 door hatch have had the manual tranny option.

Yeah most of us were pretty disappointed in toyota USA for that. At least they fixed it for 2010, but makes it harder now to get a used one.

Even with the 2010, they are hard to find. I couldn't find one at any dealer within reasonable distance to me, and didn't want to order from factory. I needed the 4 door hatch, so I settled for auto.

Agreed. I had my choice of an auto and manual in 2 '10 4-door LB's, with the power-pac and cruise. I drug my feet for a couple of days and came back to find the manual gone. I thought no big deal, I'll find another one. Nope...no luck with any of the local dealers. I went back to the first dealership and had them do a regional search. Nothing...and I mean nothing within a 300 mile radius. Plenty of 3-door manuals in various trim levels, but no 4-door manuals. I settled for the auto. No real regrets as the auto is just fine with me. Still though, in 25 years of owning cars this is only the second auto I've ever had. Still getting used to figuring out what to do with my right hand and left foot though....lol.


So yes, the '10+ 4-door is available in a manual. But unless things have changed since the spring there just aren't many out there. :frown:
