CHINO!!! If you're out there, I'm asking you! ....or anyone else that has mounted some lights.

You did a DIY almost a year ago on microimage ( http://www.microimageonline.com/forums/showthread.php/176-DIY-Cold-Cathode-Lighting ). I just decided to use that  I'm curious now as to where and how you ended up mounting them under the seats. Just looking for ideas.

Anyone have pics of mounting locations? Would be much appreciated!

i mounted them with the 2 straps under the seats. Only thing was passenger seat being 2 door, moved alot so was bad on the wires.

What color did you do?

i personally used LED's in plasic domes. it was a kit of 8 lights so i put 4 on drivers side and 4 on passanger side. it took a while to get a glowing affect vs a solid light bulb affect but im very happy with it. i personally stayed away from the moving parts of the seat, 2 dirrectly under the dash, 1 on the side jsut out of sight and the other jsut under the seat stuck onto the center consol thingy. lol

the part im very happy about is i concentrated all the dirrectional light to the floor so there is only alight glow on the celing, therefore not too distracting so i can drive with it on at night. if my headlights are on, so are they :) lol.

i find it quite weird to be in a car without floor lights now

I want to try to stay away from mounting to the seat itself because of it moving to get the back seat. And I have an amp under the passenger seat... I don't want the bulb directly showing, and I don't want them to be accidentally kicked and possibly broken/knocked off. I went with green. Favorite color and already have a green led dome light. I'm going to gut the whole interior to put some more Dynamat in there this week so I'll have a good chance to look at every possible mounting place. When I do get it figured out I'll take some pics. I couldn't find much info on specific mounting locations. Everyone just has the general answer,"under the seats or under the dash" "zip ties or Velcro"

Did all the wiring yesterday, played around with them last night to find out where I wanted to mount them exactly, and made the location quasi-permanent this morning. Here is the final product... for now.

The glow bleeds under the driver side a little bit into the back seat area. The passenger seat has a big 'ol JL amp under it blocking the glow from getting under the seat to the backseat area. There is however a small a gap under the backseats where I think a couple more cathodes would fit perfectly! I may do some more at a later date. I could easily tap those into my...... forgot the word.... ummm.... the battery like thing for the sub amp.... CAPACITOR!!! (I hope you enjoyed the ride along my thought process  )

I'll snap some more pics this evening when it gets dark. If I remember.... I might get distracted by the woodchuck at BWW!! :eyebulge:

What do you think peoples?

Oh!! And that is the transformers taped under the seats to the frame nearest the center console.

Also... I know the button install looks like crap, but it'll do for now.

I am putting my rears under the rear seat. Perfect spot for mounting because of the frame. I will aim them down at an angle.

Fronts will be put under dash.
