This was day three. Dont worry there'll be plenty of dirt later! Here is the start of Pikes Peak at 5 in the morning.

Grasshoppers were the worst bugs that had to remove from the finish.

Hmmm I didnt see the monument in the first picture up there. What did the snow make driving up Pikes Peak like? It was challenging enough without snow!

Here is another picture in Colorado, this time in Uncompagre National Forest. Its on the southwestern side of the state. Basically its Colorado State Road 90 which runs from Montrose to the Utah border. More than half of it is dirt.

That's weird, that monument has been there forever!

I didn't drive up it, I was only 15 at the time of the photo lol. We took the cog rail up Pike's Peak; I don't know if you were allowed to drive up it with tons of snow like that.

Sounds and looks to me like it would be a fun dirt road to take a nice dust bath in :headbang:

Ah the railway! It would be so cool to be up there in winter. Yes it was dusty
driving up.

10,000 living creatures had to die to make this trip possible!

Welcome to Colorado!

I've lived here for 26 years and still haven't fully explored the southwestern part of the state, so I'm a little jealous. I hope you enjoy your stay (sorry about the bugs & dirt!).
