When I pull the shifter left, and when moving backwards, as from 1 to 2. There is a squeak that is coming from the linkages in the shifter. It sounds like something just needs packed with grease, but I have no idea where to begin. Any suggestions?

Seriously? I would have thought that needing something lubed was a more common problem.

Yes you can start inside your car, then from the motor end too.

I am TERRIBLE at navigating internet forums, and can never find the stuff I want.
Sorry if my first response to my own post seemed impatient/accusatory, I was honestly just expecting a fast, on point response since it just seems like some lube was needed.
I had someone move the shifter while I stared at the linkages and just couldn't figure out which one was the culprit. So I figured I would ask here.
Thanks again.
