Car Town on Facebook - Customize and race your Yaris

I have completely avoided Facebook games, but someone on MI brought up Car Town, and now I am hooked. You build and customize your garage, and then use the money that you earn to customize your own car(s). You can then race your cars against your other Facebook friends who play. You can download skins seriously personalize your cars. You can have your workers do jobs that take from 2 minutes to 3 days, so you can progress in the game, even when you don't log into Facebook for a couple of days.

you're not gonna believe this but Garm's car (Scott's actually) just pulled up in front of my garage. WOW. I've always wondered what his Yaris actually looks like in person :drool: . Oh, well, we'll have to play with the one on FB instead where she is patiently waiting for a car wash ;)

I figured out that buying cars gives you the biggest jump in points (I'm up to 11 cars) and that 12 hour jobs seem to be the best combination of earning points and not having to deal with it.

I also leave it running on one of the 4 monitors on my desk to watch for race requests.

I occasionally send one to a car show (but that ties up a worker with it for 24 hours).
The key is hiring as many workers as you can and just keeping your work bays working.

ahahah it's real addictive the first couple of days, but like Scott mentioned the best way is to leave the workers doing longer jobs, s you don't have to be on the game ALL the time. But, longer jobs bring in less money and xp per hour ;)

Go into customize, and then do a print screen (shift+prtscn), paste it (in your case you can use mspaint), crop it, save it.

Go to edit garage mode, and then highlight the item to rotate. You'll see a green circle with an rotate arrow. Click on it and the item will rotate (if it has enough room). If it doesn't, then you have to move it to a clear area to rotate it.

Moving tiny things is tricky. I had some of the divider rails and had a bear of a time moving them around. You have to put the cursor on an exact spot to get them to move.

plus my hard drives spins like it's gonna take off ... The app probably consumes a huge amount of ram! Also, making any kind of graphics on the site itself is overly complicated IMO. Sometimes clicks don't produce the same results...

Still, the app is great fun anyway. Just keep practicing.

However long the job is, you have that much time after it's complete or the customer leaves without paying.

OK, so here is mine. Modest, for now.

The Yaris has a Hello Kitty theme (was supposed to be a HK exhaust tip ;) . Yeah, I know it's hard to tell but it's really hard to do online, the mouse clicks, etc. are not real responsive.

(thanks Jeff for the offer of a template :) I think I"ll keep that one for now, gives it a kind of unique, dorky look :wink:
