opening the hatch

Why isn't there a "hatch" release lever on the floor next to the fuel release lever? I have been pressing the "unlock" button on my remote key twice to unlock the hatch. Is this the preferred method? :headbang:

that's just the way it works, after all the hatch is considered a door (hence 3/5-door), so should be accessed as such :biggrin:

That's one of the 100+ projects on my list for mine. I've looked into it and for under $100 I can pick up the actuator and popper to automate the hatch. My remote starter has an unused aux output and an extra button on the remote that I will use for exterior opening.
