Roof Rack

First car I ever bought was a 2007 Toyota Yaris brand new. Loved it ever since. But now I'm clueless on what type of roof rack would be best for her. Never bought one before but I'd like something simple to put my kayak on without damaging the car. I've looked at Thule and Yakima but just want to make sure I get everything I need.

I have a 4dr 07 Yaris.

i've also got a 07 4-door and i have a yakima set-up. i think the quality is the same whether you go with yakima or thule(both have lifetime warranties). in fact, my rack is a yakima, but my bike carrier and cargo box are thule. just make sure if you mix-and-match like i do that the particular pieces you are looking at are compatible for both brands(some parts aren't).
