External Monitor To Net Book

I have an external monitor I want to attach to my Aspire One. You have to go into control panel or something to activate the ext monitor but I forget how to do it. Does anyone know? Thanks!

If I remember correctly, it's just fn+F5.

I think its jsut once, is it f5 or f4??? I forgot but one of the F buttons has like a square/rectangle box as a "2nd button" if you hold Fn near the bottom left and hit it. It should just switch it, thats what I did when my laptop screen cracked I just bought a cheap external monitor now I dont have to repair it for 500$ lol
