hey guys, I was told tanabe is looking for a car asap for R&D... Unfortunately, I do not have what they are looking for. So for anyone who's interested and want some free parts I'd definitely jump on this once in a life time offer...

They normally give dealer cost on the parts they make from these sessions. No freebies that I can remember.
It would be nice if they do it differently this time - keep us posted, whoever gets in!

I'm in spot #1 for the under brace R&D. Looks like if the part works out and fits, they leave it on for free.
I've had parts R&D'd on my bike in the past and never was charged for them (probably a way of thanking a person for the inconvenience). I would have been shocked if they tried to get someone to pay for any kind of R&D work.

I had test fitted some fogs on my sock bumper. I told them I was going to change out the bumper, so they should take it back and sell 'em or something. They let me have it anyways.

Got the R&D done this morning. They were awesome to get me back on the road in a very timely manner.

I drove it back to the OC from Torrance then put back on my rear sway bar. With the sway bar, under brace, and strut bar... the car handles so much better than how it did when I drove it off the Toyota lot. lol

so call me really naive here, but does it really matter who you get these parts from in regards to a functional perspective? I can understand alloy making a difference in flex, but really way else other than ensuring the parts has plenty of meat on it around the mount points?:iono:
Not to hijack your thread or anything...

Did you guys notice that they're looking for a 2010 Yaris now? for the spring session? Anyone have a stock 2010 out there?
