This one is an interesting link. Take a read and drop your thoughts...

I am interested to see how both sides spin this one. I know my feelings about the whole OEM arguments...I'd just like some other thoughts and insights to get a discussion going.

why?

It makes sense, I mean a 9 speaker system even OEM should be pretty darn good.

An honestly, for $2000 nowadays, you can't get much even if you do all the installation yourself.

Quite interesting...The Yaris setup from the factory wasn't anything spectacular by far for the 2007. I wonder what type of "upgrades" are in the new Corolla that caused it to score so well? As for the Cruze and 9 speakers, I haven't really looked at it yet so I am wondering what is it toting to give it such a good sub frequency response. My dad's 2008 Sierra HD 2500 has a kick ass stereo with great bass, but when you really turn it up it will blat just like any other OEM unit I have heard.

I also have a Corolla (OEM) and it sounds "ok" compare to my EOM yaris, but now with amps, speakers and new HU, there is a big difference in SQ.

GM is doing all they can to sell their cars, these are great features aka selling points for most people, but knowing my self I would change everything if I ever own a Cruze.

That's just me.
