Hello all the SA people. I have recently purchased a Yaris YR, and have noticed that the Multi-Informational Display does not operate. Only as a clock. In my owners manual, it states that the 'MID' only functions in SA. Just wondering if we can explore and differences to see if this can be a simple resolution.
I have attached a picture (from one of the other forums) which shows the clock on the left side, along with the greyed areas that don't function in Australia.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

The additional functions can only be enabled by changing the programming of the processor within the cluster. There's no way to simply enable them.

Given the posts I've read thus far, I believe you. Because you probably still have that Australian one on your bench!
By all accounts, your the man in this forum who'll know.
It doesn't meant that I want to believe you! I must have some hope!

It could be reasonably simple...... maybe for you!

That turned out to be a bust. Once I had access to both types of clusters, I found that the cluster is either programmed for it or is not. There is not way that I've found to be able to turn it on.

So, what you are saying is, if I want this to work, I should purchase a South African cluster!
Further, do we have a picture of a South African cluster in the forum?

Correct JDM = Japanese Domestic Market.

Seems SA option is dead. Japanese option is possible. Shall move to Asia zone and start again. Thanks CTScott.
