Yaris VIN information

Hi

Can you tell me where the VIN information is located on the yaris. There is a sticker on the passenger door, is this sufficient, dont think there is one drivers side?

Also can you let me know where it is located on the engine, as in step directions from lifting the hood!

Are you looking at a 1st gen (<2005) or second gen Yaris (2005+)

all of the body panels (fenders, bumpers, doors etc should have the toyota vin stickers on them as well..If you see a body panel missing this it tells you its been replaced possibly due to an accident

Thanks for your replies . It's a 57 plate yaris . there is a sticker on the passenger door but I wanted to check the engine vin plate to check all ok but couldn't see it, where is it etched in the engine?
When u open the bonnet wat direction shall I look?

Isn't it at the bottom left corner of the windshield? I haven't actually looked for it, but I thought that was one of the places the VIN was located. I know on some other cars, it could be found there.

Its not on the windshield on the yaris. Ive noticed that a few cars dont have it there either.

It is on mine. Or rather, it's visible from the outside of the windshield. It's near the bottom driver-side corner of the windshield.

In the U.S. all cars must have the VIN visible from the outside at the bottom of the windshield on the driver's side. But the OP is in Essex, England.
