Ray, is there something going on for those of us who have already installed CTScott's PTS module w/ the PTS button and that would like to have the SMART Entry tied w/ it?

Kioshi - To install this one you'd have to replace mine with it.

I am working on adding an RFID tag reader to mine to make it completely keyless. But, for a complete system that includes smart entry this seems to be a good deal. I was going to install one of these on mine, but I really like my remote starter and am going to add a hatch popper and this system doesn't support either of those.

Will you be producing another RFID tag reader? I wouldn't mind going that route and having that added onto my car.

My ignition wires are so short from all the errors i went through with the alarm/module, I don't think i can fiddle around with removing and adding this one to it :frown:

Yes, my intention is to make the RFID reader an add-on for my existing module.

Before. This is actually a much easier bit of development than the YarGauge. Price is looking to be $100 for the PTS module with the RFID reader and 4 RFID key tags (two that are literally the size and thickness of a credit card and two keyfob tags). It would also require a PTS switch, which can typically be purchased for ~$79.

Yes. The voltage measuring method of deciding if it's running is just not accurate enough.

Hello there,

If you want to buy the Push Start Module w/ the Push Start Button without having the SmartKey system...you need to contac CTScott on this forum for the module.

If you go on ebay, and search for Push to Start button...you wil find Avalon, Camry, Lexus buttons. Any buttons from those models will work on your Vitz.

Well i already have the power lock for my vehicule
i would only need the remote start package and the key bypass module
Does this package come with the keyless entry or not ?
Do i need a special car alarm to go with this remote start package ?
Do u have the instruction on installing these packages that i could see how hard it is to do ?

Yes that is the purpose of this package KEY LESS ENTRY .
but your car must have power locks first (note some US models Don'T)
there is a PDF file on the first page with install instructions

i don't think this unit will work with a remote a start system , and a push button system togeather , but i am not sure .

Your $250. buys the Push button start with keyless entry (credit card key lol) Thats it

Well, I got the Push-To-Start module installed, and tied into my aftermarket alarm/remote start. I purchased the RFID module, but won't install it due to the remote start. Installation wasn't bad, but had some big road bumps. The installation says to use the brake switch for when you start the car. But since I have a manual, I didn't want to have to push the clutch AND brake in order to start the car. And the clutch switches don't have a ground or power when triggered, so I had to get tricky. I also had to use my aftermarket alarm to turn the push-to-start on and off. The circuit I built for it prevents someone from cutting the alarm power and trying to start the car. If the alarm doesn't trigger the circuit, the Push-to-Start won't get a signal.

I also ran into a problem during engine crank. The module has two (2) ignition outputs (ON1 and ON2). When the button is pushed to be in the ON position, both outputs have 12V. However, during crank, ON2 lost 12V. I don't know if my module is faulty or not, but it was easily bypassed. I might keep digging to see why that is. I also installed the back-up ignition relays just in case.

But all in all, not bad. Much easier when you pull the top of the dash out. The RFID module would also be easy to install, much easier than a remote start.

Nice! Using the alarm remote in place of the RFID card definitely makes sense.
