Argh! What a rip-off!

I need both of my interior door handles and my power lock / power window console replaced and Toyota will only do it for quite some dough!

(Long story why...)


Do you guys know of a good garage where I won't get ripped off? Preferably in North Jersey?!

I have a feeling that the part cost is the majority of it. The master switch assembly is about $270 and the door handles are $35 each. Changing all of them out would take less than 30 minutes, so they should only be quoting the minimum 1hr labor.

I have extra switches. They're for an '07. Not sure if the '09s are the same.

um...what happened? sometimes they wanna skimp out on warranty stuff. making people pay when it should be covered under warranty.

however, if you tried pulling it off and pried on it with a screwdriver or poured coke down your switches....

Thanks for the reply, guys. I actually have all the parts. Was a pain to get them all over the span of a few weeks. Yeah, they REALLY don't want to cover any of it: not the parts, not the labor. But good to know that it takes about an hour... :)
