Hello,
I'm yaris 1999 user. When I start the engine my radio is on automatically.
Is this possible to change this option off?
I don't want to play radio on each time I start the engine and I switch ignition key on position "I".
(this is radio with cassette player).
Thank You for any help.
Greetings
Michael

Just turn off the radio before you get out of the car and it won't be on when you get into drive again.
You have a 1992 YARIS????:iono:

Auxmike: what do Ypu mean "get out"? Door open? Or Engine stop? It is important for me.
Ops sorry- it is 1999 Yaris :)

1 turn off radio
2 twist key to turn OFF engine.
3 remove seatbelt.
4 pull lever on door towards you till door unlatches.
5 push door open.
6 exit car.
7 push door closed.
8 lock door with key.
9 walk away from car
10 you're done!
If this is still too complicated for you to understand, SELL THE CAR!
Sounds like you may do better with a bicycle instead.......

Very friendly forum, lovely people (with powerful Auxmike's wisdom), help each other... Beautiful.
So, I stay with problem alone. Better get rid of yaris vehicle - my problem will disappear.
Ps. I'm not so dumb I'm looking at, Auxmike - turning off radio before "get out the car" doesn't help.

If you turn off the radio before you turn off the car, it should still be off when you turn the car back on.
If the radio still comes on when the car starts up, you could try turning the volume all the way down before you turn off the car. I hope it would keep the last volume setting.

I wonder if there is a hidden setting in a menu, or maybe something as simple as a bad ground. But I guess if it was a ground, it would loose station settings too wouldnt it? I need to google it or something. Its not my radio but its bugging me anyways, lol
