Went for my first 8,000km Oil change today at the dealership and noticed they've dedicated a new Scion section in the showroom. I was told that the new cars will be arriving at the dealer within the next couple of weeks... kinda excited to see what these rides look like especially when the IQ comes out in 2011.

yeah pretty consistent info accross the dealerships.

my dealer is in whitby and service manager claims they are the only Scion dealer for the whole Durham region (for now).

The XBs looks sweet and really excited about the IQ.

Not really sure about price tags yet... all info I could find in Canada are from the Oakville Scion dealer where you can click a link to request for an "Express Quote"

I dunno - personally I'd personally never buy 1st generation of anything - yeah when I bought my Yaris the dealership was renovating space outside to highlight the new Scion / IQs coming out - but thanks I'll wait till at least 2nd or 3rd generation b4 I consider buying one of those

thanx to everyone in 2011 for beta-testing the Scions & IQs 4 me!

The Scions in North America have been out since '06 and out in Japan since at least '00. So if being out for 10 years isn't long enough, how long do you wait to buy a car?

Saturday's Toronto Star Wheels section had a review for all three models and mentioned the forthcoming IQ breifly. Pricing was also detailed for the XD, XB and TC.

Just returned from my local Milton Toyota. With their Scion Grand Opening slated for next Monday, all they currently have are 2 Gen3 xBs, one used Gen2 xB, and one used 2008 tC.

They figure that the iQ will not be here until December.

Hey Bluevitz-RS:

This thread is titled "Scion in Canada" not "Scion in North America," so yeah, Scions have been selling in North America for quite some time now, but not in CANADA.

I live in British Columbia (population of 4.5 million people) - and in October 2010 - there will only be "8" registered Toyota dealerships allowed to sell the Scion / IQ brand.

As far as I am concerned - whatever is released in BC in October 2010 - will be Generation 1 (irrespective of what has been released elsewhere) - so yeah - based on that perspective - I can wait. There's no long term data available on the Scion / IQ Canadian Toyota cars YET.

Might have been a good idea to take a few minutes and list the PROVINCES in addition to the CITIES where the Scion dealerships will be situated.

Valley Scion (which is Valley Toyota - where I bought my 2010 Yaris) is NOT located in Vancouver BC - it's in Chilliwack BC - which is 60-90 mins away from Vancouver.

They are represented by the major metropolitan area. Man somebody's grumpy.

I'm guessing you're wrong a lot... why don't you go back to bed and wake up on the right side.

Oh the alphabet called, they want their caps back.

all they currently have are 2 Gen3 xBs

BTW, even tho I still don't much care for it, I found the Gen3 looked quite a bit better in the flesh than it has in pictures I've seen.

just couldnt get past the gunslit windows....or at least thats how the xb2 feels inside. i felt the same in the HHR i drove too

ample room inside.

i think if/when we need a larger family car, its hard to be a from-the-factory loaded xb2 for 18200 (or whatever it is) for a scion xb
