Too bad you closed the thread on drilled, slotted rotors. Some of the crap I heard wad retarted.

I worked as a engineer at Aerospace Components for over 10 years manufacturing brakes for racing and street driving. You can see our brakes in any Jegs, summit or NHRA magazine todate.

I run 13" front and rear drilled , slotted and zinc plated rotors. Been running this set up for 4 years on the track and the street.

Yes if you get some rotors from china they will crack and brake.

It's the material that their made of that should concern you and the process in which they are made. Not to mention if you beded your pads in correctly when you put them on as well as pedal ratio. Lots of factors when doing a brake upgrade.

Funny you should ask. We actually make the hand controllers for the space shuttle and gyro's for Raytheon along with guided missle parts for General Dynamics.

The Racing parts were just the real passion of what we did. The company now makes more high performance racing parts than anything now.

Did anyone notice that on the rear brakes I incorporated the stock drum to keep my internal parking brake?

I put the drum in the CNC machine drilled and tapped it to accomodate the new 13" rotor, while still utilizing the parking brake.

HAHA, so you just added a rotor to the outside of the drum. Then added a bracket behind the hub to accommodate the caliper?

Yes you will need 17's or 18's to do this mod.

They look good, funny to think that your rotors are only 1" smaller than my wheels though.

It's been a great kit. I didn't change the M/C or proportioning valve or even need to add a residual valve.

Yes on the rear kit we drilled out the back side of the drum to keep the P/B and just added a bracket to the housing end.

The front was a complete change but still very easy to install. The calipers are 6061 billet aluminum. They are full floating like a stock caliper so you can't feel run-out like you would on a fixed drag racing caliper. Which is much better for street use anyways. The brakes are so large I doubt you would warp a rotor anyways.

Cost for front and rear: 3,000.00

I was going to use a set of Volks for this new build but Got such a good deal on a set of 5Zigen wheels I couldn't pass it up.

I just attached a pic of the wheel from Wheels Next. it's that exact color in 18". I haven't even been home to see them. Which goes for the other thousands in parts I haven't seen either.

I should've found something more sensible, but those things weigh so little that I couldn't pass them up.
