There is a peice of plastic tubing connected to the stock intake thats in a U shape pop that peice of the stock intake you get about 5 to 6 more hp but you lose a lil bit of gas mileage but more power at the wheel makes up for it i then put a small cone filter where the hole was for the peice of plastiv

i belive you are talking about the silencer...makes a nice rumble sound, but dont think there is any HP gain...maybe on the butt dyno...and your loss of fuel economy is likley just due to your mashing of the gas to hear her growl...and why put a second filter on? wont that just negate any increased flow you gained from removing the silencer?
