That hood looks great! Also, what kind of Kalashnikov variant is that in the passenger floor board? I have a few myself but that one looks different than the ones I have.

The stock is what through me off, nice choice going with East German though. I've got a Norinco Mak-90 and love it. The quality of the wood and the finish on the metal are a lot better than the Romys and whatnot, thought it doesn't have all the goodies on it since it was made during the Clinton ban.

Here's a few of mine.

I'd love to fire off weapons like that. Awesome stuff.

Never mind the stack of guns, no offense. What I really want is the model 2CV you have on the left of that cabinet, first one from the bottom. Really, where did you get that thing?!

Let me know if you don't play with it anymore, I'd love to take it off your hands ;)

Hilarious I spotted this thread. I am just about to press the buy button on purchasing a Norinco 12GA Shotgun, replica of a Rem 870. Not a big fan of AK's per say even though I love Counter Strike guns, but I did recently start an AR-15 build :)

Still trying to find out what carry gun I want to purchase. It is a tossup right now between a RRA 1911 or a Glock 19. Trying to find something used though, I don't need something pretty to carry and showoff, just something that will do some damage in the right scenario.

Say NO to carrying .22 handguns!!!

SICK collection. I mean I love the idea behind wooden guns, the classicness and beauty of them. I just can't see myself shooting/owning them. I'm a dork, I live for tacticool stuff. But there are some older guns I wouldn't mind getting my hands on, like an old colt or something of the sort.

Sad :( I really really wanted one of those or an MP45 or something of the sort, but alot of guns are banned in MA. I also wanted a Raspberry Ruger LCP, as fruity/cool as it is. It is a .380, but thats banned as well.

Good choice, my primary carry weapon for the past four+ years has been a Springfield XD-45 Service. I've got several thousand rounds down the pipe without a single FTF/FTE. It is the most accurate, reliable pistol I have ever owned, and I would easily stake my life on it.

Thanks, the historical aspects of the Mosins really appeal to me. I now have many more than those pictured, to include one that was in the Spanish Civil War and two that are from the 1800s. The SKS I was into because they use the same caliber as the AK, but lately I have been working on a used GSG-5 I picked up and am trying to get it running smoothly. I also have a few 'tacticool' rifles also not listed, such as a Saiga SGL20 that is the sweetest AK I have ever shot.

Gun collecting can be a cool hobby, but it can also wipe out your savings account as fast as modding a Yaris!

Police can take away illegal guns here too, matter of fact they can take away legal ones too, when not treated with the respect they deserve or used improperly. We have this thing here called innocent until proven guilty........You dont have that I guess? what a shame. There are bad people in every country, in every city. I feel safer knowing I have the right to protect my family(even though I sold my 357 mag and all Ihave left is a target 22, no rifles). Look at the middle east with no regulations friggin people walking around with full auto assault rifles, now thats not cool...
There is a "black market" for guns in every country. True criminals will ALWAYS find a way to get them, period. How the government, and more importantly, the people deal with it is another matter.

In reality canadians like that fool think it is ok for the government to rape the people, while we actually had some people with brains start our country.

However I disagree completely on open carry. Everything should be open carry, it would make the country much much safer.

Militias are good. Oh at least you own something, not only do I not own a gun, i've never actually fired one either. Just too expensive at the moment.

I open carry my XD45 all the time, never had a problem

and guns are cheap, however good guns are not

my xd45 is going for $600 these days
I did pick up a Walther PK380 for the wife for $400 out the door, good gun for a cheap price.

The wooden guns are really impressive to me. I don't know the practical difference between a wooden riffle and a non-wooden one, but from a purely cosmetic view point, the wooden gun I think looks more interesting.

I haven't shot in ages. Like someone said, it can be an expensive hobby.

im not sure I get the meaning of the books and guns STC. Is it because of the book you got the gun or was the specific gun part of the book (i.e talked about). Did the subject matter of the book make you buy a gun ? Just curious what your motivation is/was.

Hi PK198105:

No... None of the above. I just love to read books and love to shoot guns. Together they are like a work of art... they are beautiful. I have pictures of my guns with great novels too...

The PPK is a fun little shooter. It fits well in my hand and has a great response when firing. The Sig P225 in my opinion feels a little better (fit) than the PPK, but a bit less responsive...

You know the solution to that, don't you?!? Find a girlfriend that likes to shoot! There should be lots of them up in Pennsylvania!

I've recently fallen in love with the .22 round. I bought my 13-yr-old son a Savage 64FXP, then found one of these babies...

http://www.gunslot.com/files/gunslot/images/61098.jpg

That particular one is not mine, I have a compressable stock but I do have the same red dot on it. The only thing is it doesn't feed well, I bought it used and the previous owner did not take very good care of it. I think the feed ramp needs polishing, but the charging handle also broke off so until I get that fixed, it's staying in the case. Still, it's a blast to shoot and since we trained on MP5s in Belgium, it feels very natural to me...

Cheers! M2

While the GSG-5 is a blast to shoot, like I said it's also been the biggest pain in the ass gun I've ever owned! I've torn that thing down to the bare metal several times but I still have a FTF problem that rounds aren't seating in the breech properly. At least I think that is the issue, they feed but the gun won't fire unless you manually cycle the bolt again. I've done the screw upgrade kit, cleaned it up numerous times and I just can't get the damn thing to work right. It's a shame as it is a fun gun, but these issues are a pain!

i know this is an older thread, but.... has anyone ever built an AK47? I am finding I can build one much cheaper than my AR15 was to build.

I had a Yugo M70B1 "parts kit" at one time but ended up buying a complete rifle and selling it to a buddy (after swapping out the furniture). I had contemplated a screw build as rivets require a bit more skill and tools than I possess. My bud ended up getting a NDS receiver and shipping it all to a builder in Colorado who did an excellent job of assmbling it. I have heard mixed stories on screw builds, but mostly I think they are good to go. Still, of my six AK variants, only one (a Yugo M72 RPK) was a build kit and that work was done by someone else...

I picked up a Draco on Monday, I am quite impressed with its build quality considering it's a Romy. It's much better than the WASRs I've seen, but I read that is normally the case as the Draco can be mil-spec from the factory since it is technically a pistol.

I have plans to SBR it down the road. It's got the underfold trunnion already in place, so all I need is the $200 tax stamp and it'll be a breeze. Another option would be to build it up as a AIMR like it was intended to be...

Cheers! M2
