Fake toyota oil filters?

i did a search but i didn't find anything.
i was wondering if it is true about fake Toyota filters because recently i bought an oil filter from a local seller here in TnT and it looked totally different from the one i bought from Toyota Trinidad.
if so where can i get genuine oil filters to buy online?

Toyota Genuine Oil filter is black and should say "Made in Thailand" on it.

Theres nothing particularly special about toyota filters. Unless you are getting the TRD filter. I believe those antidrainback and have a higher micron filtration.

I would just go with wix they are the same if not better quality than oem. Or if you want really good quality go with a K&N filter or royal purple.

I believe all Toyota oil filters (as well as most all high quality filters) have an anti drain back valve .

The TRD oil filter filters better?
I may be wrong but I doubt that.
I think it's just a good high capacity filter that is over priced just like the the overpriced TRD air filter which is constructed just llike a K&N.
