airbag light is on. i have not been in any accident.

My airbag light mysteriously appear today. I had my windshield replaced 1 week ago other than that i have not been into anything. i am wondering if the windshield has anything to do with the air bag light going off? I took it to autozone they have told me to pull the power on the car and leave it for awhile. so right now the car is without the battery hooked up. do u guys think that would reset the light? if there is a problem what do u guys think it would be?

Check back in after you've reconnected the battery. Could have been a phantom blip. We'll see if indicator is still on once powered up again.

Also, what year is your car?

how long should i leave the battery disconnected?

Some DTCs for the SRS ECU can be reset with a power off, but most can't.

so i hooked the power back up. light wen off and came back after a few short trips. :(
any ideas of a fix other than going to Toyota? would this be covered in warranty? im at almost 72000

Try the jumper thing to get it to report the codes, then we'll have a better idea of what is wrong.

sometimes the front right passenger airbag light goes on if there is something heavy sitting on the front right passenger seat - u canalso get an annoying fasten seatbelt warning as well

there is nothing in the car as of right now and the light is still on.
