What is required to install it?

Cut off the original mesh?

The grille has no damage, it's just a bit dusty and I was too lazy to wash it before I took the picture. I may have seen a dead fly caught in there as well  but otherwise it's in mint condition.

To install it:

1. Take off the front bumper by removing all the plastic push-pins from the upper edge and the wheel wells, then remove the bolts from underneath and then pull the sides straight away from the body at a 90 degree angle to the body. There are 3 hooks on each side, right at the edge of the front quarter panels that need to be detached by pulling away and the bumper will come off easily.

2. The OEM mesh uses similar hooks to snap into place, so you'll have to pull it off the bumper, by pushing it towards the inside (backwards if you're looking at the bumper from the front); maybe you can use a flat screwdriver to make it easier for the hooks to snap out of the grooves.

3. The sport grille comes with a few pre-drilled holes (those were already there when I got it new) so you will have to drill matching holes into the bumper, so you can attach this one. Don't worry, you're only drilling into the inside edges of the bumper, so even if you remove it and put the OEM back on, the holes won't be visible or cause any issues otherwise.

4. After you've drilled the matching holes, get some cable ties that will fit through these holes and attach the grille into place with them.

The grille won't fit the contour as perfectly as the OEM, but that's normal with aftermarket parts and the grille frame is quite bendy, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting it into place, you will just have to do one hole at a time.

The result, voila:
