I can do it for $40.

I hope the connectors are the same for the European models! I honestly don't know if they are different. Let me know if you want me to take a front picture of the plug.

IF u get a mazda over a WRX you are crazy!!! I have driven many mazdas and they feel very cheap. At least get the new Ford Fiesta. That is a bad-ass little car if done right.

Besides, There are prolly a TON of WRX conversion parts for it as I would bet a lot of WRX owners would like to own the STi version.

Wish I had the money.

Did you get a new job or bonus? Early christams for you!!

The mazda is almost 1000lbs curb weight heavier.

I bet a 180hp yaris might out-run it. lol

BUT, now that I looked at it carefully I might go mazda instead. Too bad it isn't smaller like 3 door.

That would be the icing on the cake!

Nice coming around sleey0

Yes, the Mazda is more than 1,000 lbs heavier, so it's about 50% heavier, but has 250% more power, costs 100% more than the Yaris and gets a fuel mileage of say 20-30% worse, depending so the math works out for me

All the professional reviews I read rate the Mazdaspeed3 higher than the standard WRX. They say it's the WRX that has cheap interior and crappy sound system, while the Mazda tech package gives you a Bose sound system. The handling is better and you get better value for the money.

Now if money wasn't an issue, I'd go WRX STI, which in a different league though, not fair to compare it to the MS3, since it costs about 10 grand more.

And yes, the WRX is more tuning-friendly, but I think I am done with big projects for a while, besides, it's my daily driver we're talking about, so I can't take too many risks, since I can't afford any down time.

And yes, I did get a bonus, but it was less than two grand, so that's not going to cover the difference, I'm going to have to live on plain bagels and tap water for a while... but hey, I'll be driving a cool car :headbang:

BUT you could get close power-wise to the sti.

Knowing me and my uninclined self, I'd get the MS3 as it already is suped-up.

mot to mention the price is good.

fwiw id find a used evo instead!!! w00t

Yes, I hear you, but as I said, I just want the best deal out of the box. I don't want to have to worry about not passing smog or dealing with warranty issues in case something goes wrong.

I find the Mazda just a bit more practical overall, even though I'd love to have the AWD, but that makes the car a bit heavier, a bit more stuff to maintain, etc. And I'm probably only going skiing once a year, but I go to work every day, so I'm focusing on the main use case here

Hey, it's ur call.

EITHER are pretty cool.

Nice thing about the MS3 is that you can send the ECU to be tuned ($500 - $900) and it will tune it on higher octane and you'll get more power out of it.

I did that with my 2.0t A4:D
